Thank you for all your help and kindness, it made the move so much easier for us. The fact you kept us notified on the journey was so reassuring!

It's early days but Chris seems to be settling in - I doubt if she will ever understand who we are but she appreciates having visitors. They all made a fuss of the dog when we took him in!

Next week I'm heading south with two of my boys to clear out her flat. We're hiring a big van and hope to manage it in one trip. I lived in Cheltenham many years ago so it will be good to show the boys my old haunts!

Jansin, a former Sirius Academy student, suffered a serious injuries after the fall in Ibiza, as surgeons spent hours addressing severe fractures all over his body.

In a post written by his mum, Carole Butler said: “As most of you are aware, Jansin and I flew home via Flight Medic UK on Monday.

“The service from this company was second to none – I knew where the air ambulance was through the morning, even had an email telling me the doctor and nurse were on their way to the hospital in the land ambulance.

“The Beverley ambulance service waited at Humberside and had everything in hand to get Jansin to HRI (Hull Royal Infirmary) with minimal fuss and up to the ICU.”

Outstanding and exemplary service from Karen and Mike at Beverley Ambulance Service who picked my very ill brother up from Manchester Airport - at 06.15 - on Boxing Day - and transferred him to home in North Northumberland. What struck me when I first contacted Karen was how they immediately thought of him as part of their family and did treat his as such and went above and beyond the call of service to transport and care for my brother . Their service , support, communication and aftercare is second to none and is absolutely brilliant in giving confidence to the family . I absolutely and unreservedly recommend Karen and Mike at Beverley Ambulance Service .
